Grandma Tressa Prisbrey's--Bottle Village--consisted of several small structures
constructed by Grandma, mostly, out of mortar, and empty bottles. Home for a
varied collection of dolls, pens, pencils, greeting cards, odd bits and pieces of
furniture, broken tile, toys, and whatever else caught Grandma's eye at the
local dump in Simi Valley, CA. The late afternoon sunlight streaming into
these whimsical rooms was delicate and mysterious. The influence of
Grandma and her eccentric colored light eventually led me to photograph :
